Well, one of your statements is true. The others are easy to check to see if they are true. And nearly all of yours are false. Of course, you are not the author, but when you post somebody else's baloney, you should at least check it out yourself. I won't go item by item through this mess, but here are a couple of observations: Nobody can draw retirement benefits from Social Security unless he/she is a legal resident who paid into the programs for 40 quarters, and meets age requirements. Anyone here illegally cannot draw one dime regardless of how much they paid into the program. Also, Congress may legally spend all excess allocations in any given year above the payout to recipients. There is no Trust Fund to be raided. It was never set up that way. Congress has indeed spent some $4.8 trillion above the amounts they have set aside for benefits (from both political parties), and we would all be better off if they had not. This amount shows up in accounting procedures as "intra governmental debt," an amount that will never be paid because we owe it to ourselves. Oh yes, the taxable amount is now up to $110,000, and it is 12.25 percent, with 6.125 percent paid by individuals and 6.125 percent paid by employers.

No privatized social security.

That is damaging. I believe in fairness. It seems that special interests have always tinkered with the tax laws to get whatever benefit they needed. Do you think if Social Security is privatized it will be better? All the privatized government services that I know of tend to cost more and provide less.
