Cure the inner bitterness and anger by changing your perception and outlook on life.
Gas prices 4.50 a gallon. We all complain, it is part of our daily conversation. It rules the airwaves. Gas prices drop to 1.50 a gallon, we now feel better, but now we must find some other situation to complain about. Maybe the stock market, home valuations, economic woes, the weather or any other problem to keep you stuck in that negative environment. It is real because we make it real. We decide the valuation of its worth and how it controls our life. We let it consume our emotion and try to attach it to others so they feel the same way. Your perception of what life is dishing out needs to be fueled by what the world is handing out. Constant drama and controversy is your fix to legitimize your circumstance. But if I remove you from your current surroundings and place you in Ethiopia, Dafur, Iraq or some unstable land where war, starvation and sickness is a daily occurance would you be thinking the same way. Would gas prices and 401k's be the topic of conversation? I dont think so! So what if we all have a little less money in our pocket. Is there still food on the table at night? Is there a roof over your head? Can you still have dreams and possibilites that things are going to get better sooner than later? Can your children play outside and enjoy the day without worrying about their safety or whether or not they will have food to eat or a place to sleep? For most of us the answer to these questions is yes; we can provide the necessities to keep our families safe and warm. Isn't that our main priority? It is time to get our heads out of the sand; stop complaining about the world and feeling sorry for ourselves. Woe is me is not going to bring positives into our lives. Change your perception. Is the glass half empty or half full? Start seeing the brighter side of others, do not look for faults. And for God's sake, STOP WATCHING THE NEWS AND ALLOWING IT TO CONTROL YOUR LIFE AND YOUR EMOTIONS.
