A very brief meditation on the nature of God

What is it that makes us think there is a God outside ourselves? Is it humility in the face of our own greatness, or shifting the blame for our problems? It's probably a bit of both.

Perhaps it's a bit of lazy thinking, too. Or perhaps it's a lot.

We can't ever really answer this God question with absolute certainty, yea or nay, and that's a big part of what makes this life such a great adventure. Those who act like they've got it all figured out are highly suspect, and really should be shunned rather than exalted. No one has the final say.

Still, let's say that you do create your own reality. Then you would be the God of your own kingdom. Why, then, would you want to choose other than the very best for yourself? Being falsely humble, choosing victim status, or otherwise playing small cheats not only yourself; it cheats your family, your community, and ultimately the entire world of your greatness. Don't settle for second best.
