There's a lot of apparent contradictions when manifesting.
At least on the surface they seem to be contradictions.
But when you dig a little bit deeper, you'll deeper level of
congruence.
One common paradox is the difference between creating something you don't have, with the advice to live in the "now."
If we live in the now, we can't imagine the future, which means we can't imagine our lives in any way improved, right?
On the surface, this seems to make sense.
But in reality, it's kind of like in the Matrix, with Neo was talking to the spoon-bending little kid.
Now, I can't remember the line word for word, but it's basically like this:
"It becomes simple when you realize that it's not the spoon that bends, it's your mind, because there is no spoon."
Living in the "now" is the same thing. Because there is no "now."
Huh?
They say there is always ONLY now, as the past is over, and the future isn't here yet.
So how can there be ONLY now, and NO now, at the same time?
The "now" you are experiencing "now" is different than the "now" when you started reading this.
How long does "now" last for?
Forever? Or the smallest fraction of time imaginable?
It depends on your perspective.
There was a fantastic book called "Flow" written by a psychologist who's name I can't begin to spell. In it he studied world class athletes and tried to "reverse engineer" what went into that "flow" feeling, that feeling of "being in the zone."
It was a combination of practice, a certain level of skill, a certain importance placed on the "event" they were participating in, and an ability to detach from outcome.
What he described as "flow" is what many describe as that "now" feeling.
Imagine you're in a river. You can fight the current, you can try to swim backwards, or you can just relax and enjoy the ride. From your own perspective, you are living in the "now," or fully embracing the "flow."
But from another's perspective, they see you jamming past them at an incredible speed, with a smile on your face because you're not exerting ANY effort at all.
You're just enjoying the ride.
This is what it means to be in the "now." Resisting the urge to fight against nature. Being congruent with who you are, and where you're going. But the cool thing is YOU get to choose where you're going.
Once you choose where you're going, getting there is easy with the "now" mindset.
Just like an athlete can be in a world class competition, filled with rules, regulations and a ticking clock, and STILL feel that amazing "now" or "flow" feeling, so can you.
In a world filled with rules, regulations and a ticking clock, YOU can achieve mastery.
