Most Of The Greatest Accomplishments In The History Of Humanity Were Driven By Laziness.

A very common desire is to get something for nothing.

Now, don't get me wrong, this desire is FANTASTIC.

Why?

Because while it's very difficult to consistently get something for nothing (as an adult, at least) we humans are ALWAYS trying to increase what we get, while decreasing what it takes to get it.

This common desire is the driving force behind all technological advances. This is why Edison spent so much time trying to invent the light bulb. Once an industrial strength electrical system was set up, flicking  switch to generate light is MUCH easier (and produces MORE light) than setting up a bunch of candles around your house.

Now, there are two ways to get more with less effort. One is external, one is internal.

External involves creating new technology, new systems, working together in groups where people specialize in various aspects of creation.

Internally involves shifting your beliefs around so that doing what needs to be done is easy, rather than difficult or frightening.

For example, many people LOVE the idea of the HUGE passive income that can come from sales, but tremble when they imagine what it takes to get there. Namely, walking up to and talking to strangers.

If you could only get over THAT, then you'd just need to set up your "sales funnel." Talk to enough people at the front end, and just like clockwork, the back end would start spitting out money.

Now, if you happen to be providing something like insurance, or anything else that is based on a monthly fee, then after a while, you can just sit back and collect your money.

Of course, this is just one example.

The trick is by rearranging your thoughts, beliefs, and ideas about yourself and the world, the actions needed to get what you want can become a lot easier and natural.

Not only that, but when you see the path is clear, your brain (on it's own) will start coming up with all kinds of different ways to get there.

Which means you'll be creating your desire, without really knowing.

And when it DOES show up, people will wonder how in heck it happened so easily for you.

Like Edison, people have been using the power of fossil fuels for about 200 years to help lazy people accomplish much more with much less effort. We all fall under the spell, and it's created the consumer society. The more convenient, the better.

The result of all this convenience and excess and resulted in too dangerous trends: the first is the deterioration of the natural environment where elements are taken in a way that is destructive to the ecosystem. The second is perhaps, just as alarming. In spite of all the fans about dieting, nutrition, and exercise, most Americans, and a growing number of people worldwide, have become physically deficient, largely because of poor diets, lack of exercise, and obesity. Yes, we are living longer, but those statistics are the result of miraculous medical procedures that are keeping people alive that would've died earlier. Just keeping alive, is no guarantee of happiness.

Your instructions for people to seek better lives, don't seem to include what is lost in the gain (primarily riches). I believe there is no psychological evidence that being rich makes one happy.
