The great challenge for parents today is how to create and invest quality time on child upbringing. The great challenge is how to avoid failed parenthood, failed childhood, and a failing generation.

"Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it." …Proverbs 22:6

Give your Child the Best GIFT of a lifetime!

Children are gifts from God; as such, every child is sacred and should be brought up to know God. Childhood is the period during which the foundation for adult life is laid; it is the time children begin to appreciate the beauty and meaning of life. Childhood creates an indelible impression on a child’s mind; therefore parents should do their very best to empower children to enjoy their childhood.

Character, habit, mental and emotional stability, problem solving ability, sense of service, sexuality and spirituality begin to develop during this period. Childhood is therefore a critical epoch in the life of an individual, which parents and guardians must handle with firmness, fairness, love and affection.

Different cultures and peoples may have different ways of raising their future generations, but as Sacred Couples, you have a duty and responsibility to raise sacred children grounded on strong moral and spiritual foundations. And this is made easy when parents themselves are morally upright and spiritually evolved. For even without being taught, children pick up your morality and spirituality just as easily as they pick up your language.

Children have very sensitive and impressionable minds. They copy and learn easily. Children see parents as role-models, and therefore copy whatever they hear parents say, and whatever they see parents do. Parents are therefore the children’s foremost teacher through exemplary conduct and living. Teach them Morals, Values, Ideals, Ethics, Courage, etc. Whatever character or personality you desire to see in your children, simply live it for them to appreciate.

Children are quite excited and eager to learn whenever family members come together in pleasurable group activities such as eating, going to church, reading the Bible, praying, storytelling, singing, exercising, games, etc. Unfortunately, present-day economic realities make it difficult for many parents to spend quality time with their children. The result is that children hardly learn directly from their best teacher - the parents; and parents hardly directly teach their best students - the children.

"…but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame." …Proverbs 28:15.

The great challenge facing the Sacred Child today is:

Learning good manners without ever seeing any;

Learning courtesy without ever seeing any;

Learning respect without ever seeing any;

Learning empathy without ever seeing any;

Learning patriotism without ever seeing any;

And so on…

The great challenge for parents today is how to create and invest more quality time on child upbringing. The great challenge is how to empower parents towards fulfilling their sacred obligations towards the future generation. The great challenge is how to avoid failed parenthood, failed childhood, and a failing generation. Our children are our future!

Children are not sacred any more than you are sacred. They are the future and always have been. They will learn and grow up regardless of how their parents treat them. Some will be good and some will be bad, regardless of their circumstances. No amount of preaching will change that.
