Pathetic!

Professor Ambrose Penwose, Kiwi
Whatever happens to George happens to me.

What a pathetic life I must be living to get festive and feisty over the discovery of a simple circuit.

You probably think I need to Get A Life.
Please do not think of yourself as exceptional, I’ve heard that before.

Well, I have a life, and little things like that that just happened keep it exciting to me.
There is never a dull moment except those too many to mention.

I am really, really relieved to find that GFI, after such a long time of not finding it. I virtually tore the estate apart, without actually moving anything.
That’s what’s nice about virtual.

I did everything short of employing an electrician, which I could have done, but I didn’t.
The thought of how dumb I would have felt to find the GFI after previously paying so much was too much to bear.
I felt relieved yet still dumb for other factors, which I am too dumb to recall.

The GFI was a find greater than gold.
When I pushed in the button that had popped out, the circuit burst into tingling excitement.
An acquaintance had told me to lick my finger and stick it in the plug to be sure it is active…but I forgot.

I plugged in all of my shavers, hair dryers, curlers, chain saws, nose hair pluckers, hedge trimmers, and other bathroom paraphernalia, and watched them peak to maximum voltages.

It was heavenly! I can’t wait till they run out again, so I can re reload them.

The situation had been dire. I had visions of telling those who someday buy my house that the outlets in the bathrooms did not work, because of a GFI that I could not find?
All of that is now moot.
Unless I do it again and forget where the GFI is?
I think I’ll put up a big sign…(beside it, not over it.)

Fool Me once!

I think I’ll go have a shave…or maybe two?

Penwose Out,

I guess I missed the first episode. But I'm glad you found your GFI and pushed the button that solved everything. When my GFI failed, an electrician persuaded me to "upgrade" to current code. After becoming several thousand dollars lighter, I feel no safer.

The damn ants in my outdoor electrical outlet are back that cause me to call him that electrician in the first place after we almost had a fire. Fortunately in this case, where there was smoke, there was no fire, just a lot of burned wire.
