Here we have women take pride in murdering their own babies before the babies are born; men parade as women and women parade as men and sex is with robots; all young people tend to their iphones and cell phones rather than to go on dates and sexting is supposed to be real sex. As the older generations pass away, the younger generations are not producing any offspring. The world's populations will grow less and less.
In a documentary about the two brothers who had jumped off the ship in 1939 and time-traveled into the future only to see what this world will become. As less and fewer people are being born, and everything and every job are taken over by a robot. Real people will live in a computer-generated floating city. There will be only 500 million people left on earth in the year 2749. Yes, I do believe what those two brothers had witnessed when they time-traveled into the future are real. Where we are now is only the beginning of what is to become of the human race which will be taken over by robots.

I think, regardless of the video that no one can prove it is true or not, one cannot deny that you did raise some of the facts of what really is happening in this world nowadays which may eventually lead to a non-existence of human race in the future world. The population of the robots will likely to outnumber the real humans. It is evident that many jobs are being taken over by robots and machinery already.
The more advancement in the technology in this world, the less jobs there will be for humans. It's sad but true.
The new feminism and the same sex marriages only mean that there will be less and less people being born, and in my opinion you are right about that too!
A thought-provoking article, Sandie. I must tell you that I agree with most of what Ron expresses. That being said, I also thank you for making me think. There is no question that our planet is way overpopulated. Something's got to give since we humans refuse to take responsibility for the wanton destruction of unrenewable resources. First of all, I thank you for taking the time to read my article and comment on it.
However, I have to disagree with you on some points you have made. You seem to think that just because a baby appears in the womb to be disabled then you have the rights to end its life!
Disability is only caused by the frame of mind of the others, it's what others think, but to the baby itself, it is still a baby. When born it is a human being! Just because a person is sitting on a wheelchair and looks disabled to others DOES NOT necessarily mean that the person is disabled. Some are even more able than the ones who are walking. When I was working in the Canadian government we hired disabled people all the time to meet the quota, and some disabled employees were much better workers than the ones who were not visibly disabled.
There are documentaries that show some people with some form of disability grow up to become pianists and musicians and they even hold concerts to entertain the world. Also, there is a down syndrome girl who was adopted by a family and who grows to be a young dancer and a fashion model. Everyone is born for a reason, and everyone has a unique quality and talent! We do not own the rights to end a person's life just because WE think the person is disabled.
With regards to the rape victims' babies, there are many childless couples who would be very happy to adopt them to give them the life that they deserve. An adoptive child would be like a dream come true for a childless couple - a gift from heaven to them.
I don't speak the language of the Conservative. In my opinion killing babies are just murders, there is no excuse for it! We don't determine who deserves to live and who doesn't. God is the one who makes the decision.
You are using language of the conservative alternate right, calling abortion murder in an attempt to degrade a practice that has been around since the beginning of time. Prior to Roe vs. Wade abortions were routinely done by doctors of conscience who saw that the birth of the baby might kill the mother or there was evidence from x-rays that the baby was in terrible condition from a genetic defect.
For unwed mothers and for mothers raped or in poverty so deep they couldn't bear a child. And even in my high school when one girl of means conveniently left high school for a few months either to have an abortion or to have a child she gave up for adoption. Good girls didn't have babies out of wedlock. But there were back alley people who would do abortions for money. It was a brutal business. Many women were never able to conceive again after having an abortion. Roe vs. Wade, making abortion legal, brought it out into the public eye.
I have been a part of the thousands of disabled here in the Houston community. Over half of these disabled were born with disability. Most of them have reached adulthood and were rejected by their parents as being too much expense and trouble to take care of. They are totally on meager government support and most suffer tremendously throughout their short lives with little hope for a cure for their ailments or even ability to get educated or do something fulfilling their lives except try to seek funds for their medical bills and caregivers. Right to lifers, seem to want these people to be born but don't want to provide the services they need (socialism) leading to them being dumped in the street for charity to take care of or privatized institutions to abuse them for profit.
I have seen three fifteen-year-old girls in our lunchroom talking about their babies with no husband in sight, their mothers taking over much of the child caring and rearing tasks, with difficulty finishing high school let alone going on to college. Stupidly thinking that having a baby would help them with their low self-esteem and already dependent lifestyle.
I watched the video. It appears to be a hodgepodge collection of already projected theories about the future, wrapped up in a "fantastical" story offered by a fictional Alan Duncan. Anybody watching it could see that it is simply a made up satirical, tongue-in-cheek, fake science-fiction/fantasy video to get people riled up to watch, perhaps go viral. I didn't laugh out loud, but I feel sorry for anybody who thinks there is any truth in that video.
Mikhail Kahu has learned that when people move from the country in the city like what is happening all over the world, they have fewer children for many reasons. That alone will, eventually, lower population. Interracial marriage is on the increase and eventually, most people will be multicultural and multiracial like President Obama. Nothing wrong with that. Computers and artificial intelligence are now moving into higher level human activity. The need for providing a livable wage for those unemployed by automation will grow and the wealth produced by artificial intelligence should make a livable wage for everyone possible and allow them to pursue the arts, sciences or whatever they wish, perhaps coming up with even greater rewards than the brutal and wasteful capitalistic system we now have.
The symbiotic pattern of evolution is everywhere and allows us a very different and fascinating window into the way symbiotic viruses work, since all viruses are symbiotic, including those involved in our human reproduction.
Our human genome is full of viruses similar to HIV-1. These have played an important role in human evolution and still play an important role in human embryology and day-to-day chemistry. Just how important are they to our evolution past and future?
