If you have never attended Book Expo America, plan now to visit next year. If you are a member of Publishers Marketing Association and exhibit your book, you get in free. Book Buzz This is it! BEA is in full swing!

Educational sessions began today; exhibition halls are open June 1 through June 3 in the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City. If you live in or near New York City, attend the BEA if at all possible. To learn more about this event, go to BookExpoAmerica on the Internet
Last year at BEA in Washington, DC, GoalMinds featured Jim
Stewart's book, "The Voices Within Us: A Book of Hope," in
the New Titles Showcase. Jim attended and networked with
authors, publishers, and agents there. I have attended BEA
several times and once led a panel discussion on book-
signing for the Publishers Marketing Association University
which is held just prior to the BEA. In Los Angeles, I
shared a booth with Joni Wilson, "The 3-Dimensional Voice,"
and Carolyn Gross, "Staying Calm in the Midst of Chaos." Our
booth was next to a large booth of the One Minute
Millionnaire members. My eyes opened wide when I saw Robert
Allen perched on a tall stool in the booth with a line of
people passing by to shake his hand and chat a minute. After
a quick consultation with my co-exhibitors, I wrote an
endorsement and joined the line with "Take Charge of Your
Life: Dare ot Pursue Your Dreams" in my hands. Since I was
at the end of the line, I took a few minutes to tell him
about the book; he looked through it. I showed him my
proposed endorsement. He read it, mused over it a minute and
signed it!
