As people rush to into a shopping frenzy, I find myself at my computer working on the next Kyle Shannon mystery and being thankful that I am a writer and a reader. Books are so much a part of me that I can't imagine life without them. At this time of the year in particular, I think about how books educate and entertain me. Books allow us to experience all types of people from Madeleine Albright, to Connie Fletcher. We are so blessed to live in a free society where all kinds of books are available to us.
