What a nightmare!

I needed to check a detail from a story I had half written only to find the draft has vanished! I have looked twice everywhere there is any paper in the house (& attic) and several other places too. No sign of it. Even worse: I had started to write it up onto the computer but only got to page 11. This is the disaster I've been dreading happening one day but had hoped to insure myself against.

My only hope is that I took it to my mum's to work on; the only thing is, I can't check until she gets back from New Zealand!

I do have a horrible feeling I'm going to have to start again and I know there were some really good scenes...
