Climate Summit at Copenhagen 12/17/2009 6:04:20 AM
In my opinion, I think the world needs to prioritize its threats. Although I love the world uniting nobly to discuss a global threat to civilization, I don’t believe global-warming is the greatest topic of concern. Instead of the Copenhagen attendees discussing global-warming, I think they should be discussing how to deny Iran of the right to build or possess nuclear warheads. This is a pressing global threat that the attendees at Copenhagen don’t need the explanations of opposing scientists to understand the perilous consequences of nuclear weapons falling into sinister hands. Unlike a nuclear-winter, global-warming is suspect. Though global-warming warrants concern, Nuclear War is still the biggest threat to life on this planet. What if Iran is allowed to possess nuclear warheads, and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, makes good on his rhetoric by initiating World War III. Then global-warming won’t be of any concern because a Nuclear-Winter will have initiated a cataclysmically chill.
