The year is waning fast 12/12/2010 2:30:20 PM
Hard to believe it's already December 12th - just 12 days before Christmas Eve. I've never seen a year fly so fast. But what an incredible year it's been. I have a lot to be thankful for. I published my first novel at the end of May, started working on a screenplay in January, kept a promise to myself that I'd spend at least 6 weeks of the year in Jamaica. As it turned out, spending 6 weeks in Jamaica wasn't a major feat. It didn't take oodles of money to realize that dream. I didn't have to wait for the royalties from my novel to come pouring in before purchasing my airfare. Sometimes we have to grab life by the horns and do what's important to us. There's never a guarantee tomorrow will bring the ideal circumstances. As the old Nike slogan went, "Just do it!" And so, I just did it.
This isn't going to be much of a blog. Funny I can write a novel, write poetry, but seldom think of anything to say on my blogs. But there is one important thing I'd like to say before 2010 closes and it's thanks to all of you who have taken interest in my page on Authors Den. You may not know it, but your support means a lot. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a belated happy Hanukkah, a merry Christmas and the very best for 2011.
