So, Marilyn and I are tooling along, working across from each other at the French Country Table in our kitchen, putting the finishing touches on Luke Rules, the first in our series of Luke Wilde adventures, when an email comes in.

From our daughter, Amanda Turner, who lives across the country from us in Boise, Idaho, with her husband and two little daughters Emilia and Ivy, aka The Night Fury.

Amanda is a writer herself, who is quite involved in the Idaho Writers' Guild. Every Thursday Amanda hosts The Writers' Block, a radio show based in Boise that is e-syndicated around the world.

But then, so is everything else these days.

The Writers' Block interviews local authors of every ilk and asks them to read samples of their work. Cool. Good for her.

Didn't think I'd ever be on the show, tho. Yeah, I've got some pretty good credits on the old resume', but I'm more than halfway across the country from her and they'll have to pull out my toenails before I'll get back on one of those things that are supposed to stay in the sky. Even that might not work.
