Do you like surprises? I certainly do. Imagine my surprise to arrive home after a booksigning and find the 1st book in my Velvet Shoe Collection, An Unlikely Arrangement has placed 2nd in the Forward National Literary Awards in the Romance category. My book had been submitted and I am over the moon to have placed at all! These are the things that give us that little boost of confidence to go on, keep writing, continue doing the things we love.

It's been a stellar year for me. I've enjoyed the journey and the knowledge I've acquired over this year. I hope I can apply it to my future books and keep the journey going.
