Busy days in Oberon, CA 5/13/2006 10:03:52 AM
There's a lot going on, these days, in Oberon. I've been updating my website, adding some cool new links, and adding yet another blog. Check it out!
I admit it. When it comes to procrastination, I'm a master. When I put my mind to it, I can find ways to avoid writing like nobody's business. Ever since I finished work on the soon-to-be-released And Shadows Have Their Ending (Oberon: Book 9) I've been at serious loose ends. http://www.oberoncalifornia.us/SHE.htm
In an effort to appear productive (and distract myself from the worrisome fact that I'm not writing) I've been messing around with my website.
It also helps that my wonderful and long-suffering web mistress keeps going out of town and has yet to notice what I've done. Shhh! Don't tell!
It started off innocently enough when I noticed that the links on my Activities page were sadly out of date.
When I'd first conceived the idea for the website, I'd planned on updating them monthly. Well, that never happened––until now. Check 'em out. They're all new. And, if I can continue to keep my act together, I plan on changing them all ever six weeks or so. http://oberoncalifornia.us/Activities--Links.htm
Had you seen it? It was awful. Just a list of names. NOW, however, it kicks butt! I wrote ads for each of the businesses listed and uploaded some Two Dozen new excerpts, as well.
But the whispering in my head was just getting worse. Happy as my characters were at the thought of having their businesses profiled, they still wanted some personal time and attention. So it was on to the Who's Who page: http://www.oberoncalifornia.us/WhosWho.htm
But...more excerpts? I don't think so.
Instead, I created a new blog (blog number six. Can we say excessive much?). You can check that out at http://360.yahoo.com/pgforte93446
Titled MPD and Me, this blog will feature write-ups on each of my characters, in no particular order. I don't know what exactly I'll be posting. Interviews. Bios. More excerpts––of course. Random thoughts on the characters. Hell, some of them might even decide to say hello themselves. And, whenever possible, I'll try to add one of the nifty little avatars Yahoo so kindly makes available. And, of course, they'll all eventually link back to the Who's Who page.
Yep, busy, busy, busy––that's me. No wonder I have no time to write..."
