Andreonna, we’ve been friends for fifteen years. I’ve chased you for fifteen years. And, now, I ask your hand in marriage. Stephen, I love you more than you will ever know. Yes, I’ll marry you.
Stephen and Andreonna married, divorced and remained friends.
Recently, Andreonna was informed by this man whom she still loves that he’s relocating to a state down south. It hurt her to hear those words come from his mouth. And yet, she knew he was on a journey of a lifetime from God.
So she kept her feelings inside as they spoke over the phone and cheered him onward to experience what the Lord had planned for him many years ago.
She realized that he had another woman in his life, whom he called ‘My Sweetheart’. Hearing those words cut Andreonna to the chore of her heart. So she wished him well.
The day of his departure, she texted him these words:
Good Morning,
I’m on my way to church. You have a safe trip and truly enjoy your journey to new beginnings.
I’ve prayed for your travelings already. You’re in good hands with the Lord.
Remember, I’ll always love you.
His response was simply three little words:
Thank you sweetie.

Obviously saying ‘Goodbye’ to someone you love can be the most difficult thing you may ever have to experience. But, that love you hold so dear in your heart for that person will help you to release him. You must still live your life to the fullest because you too are on a journey of your life as the Lord Almighty leads and guides you.
So, it’s okay to say ‘Goodbye’. It’s okay to love. It is certainly okay to release.
Who is it that you need to say ‘Goodbye’ to so they can experience the journey the Lord has ordained for them.
Be free my brother, my sister and say your ‘Goodbyes’.
