Thank you all for your kind responses to my new Blog. The support and kindness that our Authors put forth towards each other is inspiring and something I’m proud of. Behind the scenes here at AuthorsDen, we have something we call “…in the spirit of AuthorsDen.” We use this “tag line” on a daily basis, to inspire ideas of how we can help each Author achieve their goals, how to manage content that may be inappropriate, and in creating new platforms for the community. Our community has evolved to embrace the spirit of AuthorsDen and the feedback you’ve given me personally attests to that!
Onto another subject…I obsess about ideas of how to get your books in front of new readers. My job is to make sure traffic to your webpages on AuthorsDen is constantly growing. This past week I took a poll on my Facebook and I asked a my friends to do the same with their friends. My question was…”What is your criteria for purchasing a book from an "unknown" author? Would you most likely rely on book reviews, recommendation from a friend, or something else?” Every response came back – recommendation from a friend and then second place was a book review. So don’t be shy and ask your friends to recommend your book to their friends. Be bold! Actually say the words…”Please share my book with your friends.” Last year I sent out an e-mail to the community titled “AuthorsDen on Facebook.” I just re-posted it as an article on my AuthorsDen site. Please review it for detailed instructions on how to use your AuthorsDen book pages combined with your Facebook audience. Ask your friends to share your books with their friends. Take note of your potential sales stats before your post and then after to see the increase of visitors to your site.
