Hello everyone, and a very good Sunday to you all!
I've been connecting with Turkey, in a matter of speaking, the sunnyland of the halycon days of my childhood, the place I call Lands of the Morning,

since yesterday.
The news of the POW! Award (http://www.pow100.com)
I won for "Andromakhe - An Epic Novel of Troy and a Woman's Triumphant Valor"

was picked up by Turkish newswires, and disseminated on the Internet as well as in print newspapers.
Of course, as you can well imagine, I am proud as a punch, touched, and expectant, for I cannot help but hope that at least some of my childhood friends (and teachers too!) will surf the Internet, find my website, and contact me.
After all, Hope Springs Eternal in the Human Breast.
Among friends I've lost touch with through the years, are Leyla (from St. Georg Austrian Girl's High School) and Buzli, from the German High School. You know, I still get misty-eyed sing-songing this beautiful Turkish song: "Eski Dostlar, Eski Dostlar..."
Yes, Old Friends, Old Friends.....
Here I have added all the links and images I could gather:
Kristina and Andromakhe in the Turkish Press:

Yes, yes, chances are you do not speak Turkish :-)))), but well, just click on it anyway and if you have any Turkish or Turkish-American friends, do forward this link. Who knows, they might be one of my old, long lost friends ...
Slainte!
Blessings to you and yours, Kristina
