Tony Sharp's foresight back in 1991 depicted a fictional situation which became almost a reality, if in a different form, on 9/11 2001. It was written as a comedy but the actual events were far from that! "Seeing is believing", they say. Perhaps 'they' are right: Doubting Thomas couldn't have been all that bad, for it is not every day one meets a man who has survived an horrendous death by crucifixion. ‘The Da Vinci Code’ is another matter, and puts the cat further among the pigeons.
Yet I have long believed in life after death - in another dimension. Why? I clearly recall saying to myself: ‘What the hell am I doing here - again?’ I must have been around eight years old at the time. I now know I am not the only one who thinks like this. But then, I have experienced many apparitions in my life-time - not all of which have been particularly agreeable. One can’t have everything, as my wise sister keeps reminding me.
Needless to say, I have great respect for other peoples’ opinions and beliefs, as long as they respect mine. Personally, I believe we are here on earth to learn - both through joy AND suffering. I see nothing abnormal with the idea of reincarnation. Judging by the attitudes and behavior of more than half the world’s population, a thousand lives would barely be sufficient for the learning process to be but half complete. In the meantime, I have fun - writing my books, and hoping you will suspend belief for a while and get to read and enjoy one or two of them - your own, individual way.
