Everything old is new again - again! Well, after many moons of seeing if it's possible to be 62 and do everything I did when I was 30, I have a personal answer.
HELL NO.
Aside from the general tiredness of being on meds for type 2 diabetes and hypertension, the old body is just that - old. There's nowhere near as much biological energy as I had when I was 30, and even 2 pots of coffee don't fix things (waaaah!).
So I'm dropping animation, film making, and guitar playing from my activities and falling back to the old basics - writing and composing music. This time, forever. I give up! Trying to believe that I'm 30 doesn't convince my body (lol).
So, I've sold off most of my film making gear except the camera (to make travel vids with when I travel). Both guitars will get donated or sold very soon. I now have a second computer SPECIFICALLY as my writers desk, having only Chrome, Scrivener, and Windows Media Player installed to prevent distractions (might add a coffee maker to the desk, too). I have a two tier keyboard stand coming for the music studio to allow me to play multiple parts at the same time, very handy for improvising two parts during recording - looks like Keith Emerson, tool, super-cool!
First new project - "The Back Door". A horror/weird fiction short story to ease me back into the writing life. Eventually novellas, sell on Amazon, get ignored but what the heck, writing anyway!
Will keep things updated even though nobody is reading - this is like a diary for me, sort of.
