SPRING TRAINING BEGINS!
Major League Baseball gets ready for the 2008 season with the time honored ritual of spring training in Florida and Arizona. Rookies join seasoned veterans.
New team members join roster favorites. Among these is Masahide Kobayashi, a right handed pitcher signed by the Cleveland Indians.
Why am I excited? Because this imitates my first contemporary romance, THE WORDS OF THE PITCHER.
Yes! My hero, Kentaro Ikuta came to my fictional MLB Cleveland team as the first Japanese National signed to the majors in 30 years. Alas, unable to speak English he offends the press. To correct this communication problem, management hires Claire Ferris to speak for the pitcher.
In honor of Kobayashi-san’s signing, I’m having a fantastic contest!
