Harlem Book Fair - Boston 7/1/2007 3:39:35 PM
Yesterday, I participated, as a vendor, in the Harlem Book Fair at Roxbury Community College in Boston. It was a great opportunity to talk to local authors as well as people who love the written word. My table was right next to new author Savannah J. Frierson, author of Being Plumville, http://www.sjfbooks.com.
I have already started reading Being Plumville and it is definitely keeping my attention with its very well-written tale about Benjamin and Coralee!
I was brazen enough to take give him both of my books. Imagine my pleasure when he offered me, in exchange, his latest book, Mother Earth Responds: green poems & alternative visions.
While I was sitting at my table and people watching, I kept seeing an elder walking around with a t-shirt that said African and My New Beginnings. I was pleasantly surprised to find that she is author Clyde Ann Nelson and the slogan on the t-shirt is the title of her new book http://www.trafford.com/4dcgi/dosearch#goto1
