There is a side of leadership that rarely makes the annual report.
No one posts about the meeting where they chose patience instead of proving they were right.
No one celebrates the afternoon spent listening to an employee whose performance had slipped because life outside the office was quietly falling apart.
No one applauds the leader who absorbed frustration instead of passing it on to the rest of the team.
There are no awards for the difficult conversations that restored trust.
No headlines for choosing integrity when compromise would have been easier.
And yet...
I have come to believe these are the moments that shape leaders the most.
Not because everyone sees them.
But because Yah does.
Leadership Leaves Fingerprints
One of the greatest misconceptions about leadership is that it begins with strategy.
I no longer believe that.
I believe leadership begins with people.
It is found in the way we greet someone who feels invisible.
The way we correct without humiliating.
The way we hold people accountable without forgetting their humanity.
The way we make room for both excellence and grace.
Long before leadership transforms an organization...
it transforms the leader.
Because every decision leaves a fingerprint.
Not only on the people we lead...
but on the person we are becoming.
What People Actually Remember
Years after a meeting ends, most people will not remember every word that was said.
They may not remember the presentation.
Or the numbers.
Or even the final decision.
But they will remember how they felt in your presence.
Did they feel respected?
Did they feel heard?
Did they leave with more hope than they brought into the room?
Leadership is rarely remembered because someone had all the answers.
It is remembered because someone made others feel seen.
The Work That Changes Us
There have been seasons when I poured my heart into work that only Yah and I ever saw.
The hours of preparation.
The quiet decisions.
The moments of choosing wisdom over reaction.
The days when doing the right thing felt costly.
At the time, I wondered if any of it mattered.
Looking back...
I realize Yah was doing something far greater than improving my leadership.
He was shaping my heart.
Teaching me that influence begins long before recognition.
That serving people well is never wasted.
And that the greatest work He was doing was not through my hands...
It was within them.
A Word for Leaders
If you have ever walked out of a meeting wondering whether you handled it well...
Welcome.
You are in good company.
If you have ever stayed awake replaying a difficult conversation...
Wondering if you could have shown more patience...
More wisdom...
More grace...
Then your heart is still tender enough to lead.
Do not lose that.
The world may reward confidence.
But Yah also honors humility.
And humble leaders leave lasting legacies.
A Word From Experience
Over the years, I have discovered that the leaders I admire most are not the loudest people in the room.
They are the ones who quietly make everyone around them better.
They listen before speaking.
They protect people without lowering standards.
They remain steady when emotions run high.
They understand that leadership is not measured only by results...
It is measured by what remains in people long after the meeting is over.
I want to be that kind of leader.
Not because it earns applause...
But because it reflects the One I follow.
