The wait is over!
The portals have opened. If you thought evil just had a new name, wait until you see what shape it takes. The small towns will never look the same!
"Variance: The Countdown" (Book One of a 3-part series!) has be en Released at Silk's Vault Publishing. http://www.silksvault.com 1985 is still a difficult time for law enforcement. While many advances have been made, progress is slow and investigations still take months to solve in the small town of Chance City.
Wynne Fredricks has been a Police and Fire Dispatcher for the city for seven years. She's seen most of it and scoffs at the fruits and nuts that are regularly let loose every holiday and full moon. But this Thanksgiving, a different kind of nut is let loose, and he seems to be targeting Wynne.
After a frightening phone call reporting a murder that hasn't happened yet, people around Wynne start dying in mysteriously violent ways. But there is no evidence, and the only clues are cryptic notes left for Wynne with numbers on them that appear to be counting backwards.
But counting down to what?
When Special Agent Brent Elliott arrives at her Chief's request to protect Wynne and help investigate the murders, Wynne hates him immediately. Although he is one of the most attractive men she's ever met, something about his attitude just rubs her the wrong way.
Arrogant and full of himself, Brent knows more of what is going on than he can safely let Wynne know. He also knows why she is being targeted, but to let her know is to place her in even greater danger. Yet, if he leaves her in the dark, there is no way that either of them can protect her from what Brent knows stalks her.
