Ever wonder what it is like to be a Cop's Daughter? 1/6/2007 6:01:16 AM
Growing up as a Cop's Daughter has personally given me some special abilities. To start off, I will name this one-It's a life saver.
One-The most important and sometimes not so easily identified,
is "follow your gut". Everyone has an instinct, an ability to listen to their gut feelings, identify when a situation, an event, a person you may come in contact with, does not feel right. Something is telling you to get away from the area, the event, the person. It comes down to you making the right choice, the correct decision which could ultimately change your life.
Some may laugh at this ability, not think twice about listening to one's 'gut feeling' and that is your choice, your decision and you will surely live with the end results.
Just think about it. Next time you're walking to your car at night, focusing in your mind about your hectic day, the boss's attitude, the chores needing to be done the second you walk through your front door and the fact that your stomach has a funny sensation. "Did I look around the parking lot before leaving? Is there anyone around? Is the light on the light post bright enough or is it out completely?
Following your gut, looking around you for a stranger, acknowledge that uneasy feeling, it may be the difference in saving your life.
