Reaching Back
into time into when I was first born with the rhythms of the drums
to absorb and elevate my soul
into 360 degrees of life, grace and beauty
dancing full of fire and intergrity
calling forth for the ancestors to rejoice and walk with me
healing my soul
moving me forward on the path of rhythms of my homeland
Reaching Back
planting seeds
harvesting the seeds
with words that enlightens and absorbs the energies
shedding light
depicting images that reflect
Ancient Traditions
for I am
Reaching Back
calling upon the sage spirits
rhythms of the drums
to walk with me and my daughter
