Starr has certainly seen her share of adversity. She endured her parents’ divorce, molestation, addictions, teen pregnancy, disease, and witnessing her mother’s suicide at age 15. Through it all, she has kept a positive attitude and a restorative belief in God. “People are looking for an escape from the everyday barrage of bad news,” says Starr. “This book promises to take you to another realm.”
After overcoming those obstacles in her own life, she found inspiration to write this book in 1987 during a series of personal conflicts that led her to search for truth. The Bible, or what she dubs “basic instructions before leaving earth,” became her anchor in life. She hopes that as readers explore the Scriptures referenced in her book, they too will unlock their God-given imagination and succeed in life’s journey.
Michelle D. Starr is an entrepreneur who has been self-employed for 20 years since marrying her husband Fred. After completing three years of modeling school, she became a model and top 10 finalist in the 1994 Mrs. New Jersey contest. She hosted her own radio show, “Truth in Action Music Radio Hour,” for three years and has performed in three off-Broadway musicals.
