City of Gardens is Generating a Lot of Interest in Greater Victoria. 1/27/2009 7:38:16 AM
Although the book has just been released and no one has read it yet, the book has sparked interest of several prominent members of Victoria which are opening the doors for us to spread our message and raise funds for charity to aid them in their fight against homelessness. The concept of the book and awareness campaign is already making its mark in Victoria well before the official release. The launch is still just over four weeks away and we are receiving a number of opprotunities being made available to spread our message.
Victoria City Council, Camosun College, Mentoring program, Vancouver Island Health Authority, public library system and the media has expressed interest into learning more about the book and our mission.
To have this support from these prominent institutions before the official release is major accomplishment which took a lot of hard work and long hours to get our foot in the door.
To a self-published author, the expeience is very humbling and overwhelming. The timing is perfect and it is forecasted to sweep the city off its feet.
The suspense of distributing 500 books within the next month or so will certainly cause frenzy in this sleepy city. Imagine the power that one book has on a city like Victoria. This is a dream come true and I am very confident that the book will meet all our expectations.
This is not an easy task, but it is certainly generating results for the most important time in my life as an author. After all these years of sacrifice and rejection, the unexpected has happened.
You have to read this book. It is required reading and will open your eyes to a whole different world. This may be the most important book that you have ever read.
If we generated this much attention now, imagine what will happen six months from now when the book is in full distribution. I strongly suggest that you read this piece of literature and see the world from the eyes of our most vulnerable.
