Synopsis In the year 2012, eco-terrorist, aided by the Saudi government, sabotages the America’s economy. With the dollar at it weakest global position in American History, the Saudi rolls over 1.6 trillion dollars. The result is a financial meltdown in the U.S., which soon circles the globe.
Valora returns from college to find her mother, Olivia, in the throes of a nervous breakdown and her father mysteriously missing. Valora soon uncovered a note that tells of an underground bunker that he had constructed before he disappeared. As the climate of chaos heightens and her mother’s state worsens, Valora take refuge underground.
In the aftermath of the upheaval, a mad man raises in the Midwest. As the nation lapses into feudalism, O’Neil, president of New America, forges a lethal alliance with twenty governors, turned warlords, and they lay siege to Washington. With O’Neil installed as the new president, the first order of business of the oppressive state is to purge the nation of all undesirables. Millions are exterminated, millions are imprisoned, and million more flee to the mountains and wastelands. America was split into two nations, one laying claim to the future, and the other nation hiding in the shadows of it once proud past.
In time, Olivia’s health returns, but the months underground takes its toll on Valora. In a heroic effort to save a child from the clutches of psychopaths, Valora resurfaces and finds herself in the clutches of the slayers. Luckily, she is rescued by Omar, leader of a small clan.
Against the clan’s wishes, Omar invites Valora to join them. He and Valora soon fall in love. To clan surprise, Valora, using the cache of high-tech weaponry left by her father, turns out to be a superb strategist. When she and Omar join forces, the clan grows tenfold. Then, the impossible occurs.
Teary eyed, Valora informs Omar of her pregnancy. A blessed event, except that Valora is still a virgin. To her surprise, Omar reveals that Mother, a powerful mystic who saved his life, had prophesied the birth an American Messiah.
The two announced the clan’s first birth, keeping the divine occurrence a secret. Jason’s birth sent cosmic ripples across outlands. After taking to the mountains, the modest gathering mushrooms in to seven clans as the boy’s legend grows.
It isn’t until age twelve that Jason’s supernatural powers begin to surface. However, Jason abhors violence, placing him at odds with his father. To add insult to injury, Jason became friends with Sean, ex- priest with a crisis of faith, and Omar’s biggest critic.
His only other friend is Raven, a brash, uninhibited youth with infinite ambition. Jason, who is humble and thoughtful, finds himself envious of his friend’s carefree nature. The rift widens when both vie for the love of the same young woman. In the wake of Omar’s death, Jason has reason to believe that Raven is to blame.
Heeding Mother’s vision, Jason headed west to locate his kindred spirit. Jason’s Identity is uncovered after being captured. During which time Jason is befriended by Colonel Black, an intelligence officer with the new government. Under the auspices of the colonel, Jason gets a first hand look at the environmental destruction wrought by the nearly bankrupt regime.
After almost a year, he returns to the mountains to find that Raven had seized power. With the whole of the New American army bearing down on them and the clan divided, Jason prepares, with help from Mother, Valora, and his most devoted, for an apocalyptic clash, one that has imminent and eternal implications. At stake the destiny of America, and perhaps the world.
