Bicycle-Tales --- the beginning of an adventure series 1/3/2008 12:15:25 PM
Sci-fi/adventure stories all beginning with places my cousin, my sister and me went on our bicycles in the 1950s. I am hoping a publisher will pick up on a series of stories I am in the process or writing. The first has been published, "Pine Woods". This first book is about a sailing schooner that sank off of Baileys Harbor in Door County, Wisconsin in the 1800s. While the location of where our bicycle rides take us is real (Sheboygan, Wisconsin) and a kernel of history is presented in each story, e.g the schooner in the first book, the rest of the story is fantasy and adventure. Each story involves a brother and sister who are 8,000 years old from Urgin, a continent that sank 10,000 years ago.
I'd like your thoughts on the concept. You can also find a little more information at my website: http://www.bicycle-tales.com.
