Just the daily ramblings, so later I can smile it's amazing he is reading, not sight reading but really tackling each sound. We need to work on the sight words though... how I wish English were more like Spanish and everything followed a set rule, even reading german is less complicated structurally if you don't mind a large mouthful of sounds.
He has quite grasped the Geramn pronounciation of his name and why he can't spond it out in English. But the Homeyer part, beats me how to make him see that. Anyway We're reading Big Pig on a dig and that keeps his interest long enough to make it a bit less painless. I really feel the effort he is making with the jig swa puzzle reading is. Before it was painful to see his frustration, how he would curl up in a tight ball, growl at me from behind clenched teeth. Now the hgoing's a lot easier. There was a point I actually asked myself, shouldn't I just give his up and send him to school, they know what they're about. Well at the very least I'm happy I persevered, because my pronounciation has also improved. I was taught sight reading and I could fly through a book at an enourous speed, But I was a terrible oral reader and up till recently very hesitant oral speaker especially with words I've never heard said. Well that's down to not knowing when an A says Ah or uh. Or an E says Eh or E. I'm so happy I homeschool because I'm learning so much as well.
