Seek High Quality Book Endorsements 10/14/2017 4:58:25 PM
Noteworthy endorsements offer readers greater assurance of your book's quality and your authority and/or writing ability. I tend to read endorsements that authors have included in their books. It concerns me when I see a book has endorsements noted from people who are not necessarily "quality" for the purpose of marketing. Perhaps the endorser is a writer who is hardly (or not at all) known, or a business exec or expert in some field (undoubtedly a friend though since the book does not at all relate to anything this exec/expert is involved with). Many times, too, the 'endorsement' doesn't provide a substantive statement but, he/she instead states, "An enjoyable and riveting read."). I've even googled a couple of endorsers who did not even come up on Google. Would you be impressed?
When an author's work can gain the time and attention of a quality endorser (such as well-known author in the same genre or experts in the same subject matter as the book), there is some glitter and substance pertaining to this book's quality experience that may sway a shopper to make the purchase.
As examples, when seeking advance endorsements for "Moonlight on the Ganga," my India travel memoir, I pursued several authors who were well known in several genres/fields related to spirituality, travel, memoir, storytelling. I landed a number of them in the timeframe by which I'd needed a reply. So, here are just a few examples of what I'd consider to be "quality" endorsements from authors Sheila Bender, Dr. Jean Houston, Lynn Andrews, Dr. Rev. Lauren Artress, among others who were impressed by "Moonlight on the Ganga:"
