UKs Top Agony Aunt Bel Mooney seeks help from local authors latest book.
Bel Mooney in todays Daily Mail ( Sat 1st March) states;
There's a Latin tag, "Quis custodiet custodies?" which translates, "Who guards the guards?" You might substitute, who nurses the nurse? Or - who gives advice to the advice columnist? This one was very grateful for the common sense which says: "Stop!"
Recognising herself under pressure Bel turns to 2 Simple Truths in the book 'You will become ill' and 'Organisations will demand more than you can give' The messages in this book were a timely reminder to Bel what was really important.
Local author Mike Wash from York launches his second book in the last two months. 54 Simple Truths with Brutal Advice concerns itself with 'tough love'. Each Truth is accompanied by an illustration by local artist Ben Johnson and covers issues such as love,sex,lying,grief,parenthood,trust,illness,depression and happiness. This is Mikes 4th publication. His first was a best selling text book for Psychiatric Nursing, his second now in its third edition is related to the Psychology of resistance to change at work.
In October Mikes 54 Tools and Techniques for Business Excellence was launched on the back of Mikes National Award winning clients(Alder Hey Children's Hospital) success, and is selling very well.
He has been commissioned to write a further book by his publisher, MB2000 for 2008.
