I have read many of the blogs, here at Authorsden and felt it an opportune time, to let others know why I wrote I Must Be in Heaven, a promise kept.
In all honesty, I never …ever imagined, dreamed of… nor thought about writing a book, as others have. I have a job! A good job, I do electrical work with my husband. Occasionally I have to do some really hard work…pulling wire, digging ditches. (Don’t take me wrong, I always thank God, for the work.)
So, you are asking how come start, ‘the writing life?’ Because; I made a promise to, “Tell the Stories.” Yes…me.
Writing at this time in my life has actually been a tremendous challenge; it has been one of the hardest things I have ever done. However, in doing so, I have found a tremendous amount of pleasure from my accomplishment.
I found out if you take into consideration the hours and hours of writing, editing etc., well; it’s not an easy task, though. In fact it’s been a lot more difficult than all my electrical jobs combined.
Has the journey been worth it?
Absolutely! Because there’s something else… something that I discovered; I didn’t know I had… the ability and dedication to persevere… to do it right. Two years and two hundred and something pages worth…I’ve given it my all. I’ve written a book! I’m proud to have my name on it. I am excited and ready for its debut.
Now I know you are wondering, what are my expectations when there are so many books and such an enormous stack to choose from? That my friend I’ll leave in God’s hands. But to be totally honest…The one thing I'm hoping for...in fact nothing would make me happier; is a reader commenting on it some day, and saying, “Great Story. Thanks for the terrific read.”
This month it will be ready in an E-Book version for me to share. (I’ll keep you posted ...but looks like two weeks??? Give-or-take. My husband already has a song he’s going to put on my web-site. You’ll laugh when you hear it.)
Good night all, I have work tomorrow.
