Well, I've been busy as of late with some new edits and current projects that I've been working on for the press. They have definately been some fun ones. :)
The most recent book that I've been reading through and doing edits with is called The Fallen by Alexander Quinn. Now this folks, has definately become a fast personal favorite of mine. Not just as a JSP publishing project but also as a fellow reader. This is a book that definately deserves to be published and brought out to the world to see and be admired.
I started reading it literally less than a week ago and I've zoomed right through 43 intensely descriptive chapters, fell in love with the characters and saw that this piece most certainly has a lot of potential on the mass market.
It's the story of five young people who journey through the Seventh Sphere of Hell to save a friend of thiers who had died in a pre-apocalyptic battle against a god of Chaos named Appolyon. The five find themselves facing unimaginable horrors of demons and what life is really like in Hell for humans. As their quests take them further and further into the bowels of this desolate place, the story breaks up into interlude chapters of how the five friends became what they were always meant to be: Heroes. Coupled with the weapons of ancient Mythology and the power of the Earth itself, they triumph over evil.
As I said, this is a fast paced tale that will leave you breathless and more than likely afraid of the after-life by all of the descriptions of Hell and how "life" goes on there. This is definately not for the light at heart as it is rated Mature for graphic violence and disturbing images. If you like horror/fantasy/fiction mixed all into one, you will absolutely love this book!
Also, I've been working on the Play Dead anthology by Kody Boye. Hopefully that book will be due out in April and you'll be able to find the TP version on our Lulu Storefront.
As far as Tuckers Creek is concerned, I'm still waiting on the author to finish his final edits. It's been a couple of weeks and he wanted to check out the edits that I had done first before proceeding with the publication process. I really hope that he finishes here sometime this month, so that I can finally get it up onto the storefront and letting people know about the book.
I'm looking forward to finishing up these projects as well as many others. Sadly, I am but one person and only can work as fast as humanly possible. My staff all have so many projects that they have and they're finishing them faster than I am able to get covers, final edits and formatting for them done. LOL. But I am working at a steady pace and am looking forward to what's coming up this month and the months to follow.
