Joel 2:28
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
A visionary is one that has had a glimpse of the plans or the blue prints of something that can happen or will happen or is already happening.
This scripture is a true prophetic word because young men usually dream dreams not old men,
God is saying that he is giving young men visions of the future and old man hope for their future.
Just because they are old it doesn’t mean they are hopeless
Joseph was a dreamer
Genesis 37:5
And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brothers: and they hated him yet the more.
On the other hand Habakkuk was a visionary
Habakkuk 2:2
And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth
---A dreamer
Often times can be over zealous and excited about what they see!
That excitement got Joseph in trouble because he did not think. He was moved by his emotions and excitement and told his hope away. He gave his enemies amo to work with to throw him in that pit.
Even though God still got the glory out this story later he (Joseph) yet lacked wisdom with his dreams.

God would have gave him the wisdom if he would have asked. But he had to learn wisdom through his experience like many of us have to also. Wisdom is calling but often we do not listen!
Habakkuk was a visionary he Dreamed with wisdom he wrote what was told to him down on a papper or tablet and waited for the appropriate time to exercute the plan.
Joseph could have been : Joseph the visionary and if he would have learned temperance to curve his emotional excitement, the pit fall would have been avoided.
