Somebody please tell me? Does Algebra really matter?
Well, Spring is really here, uh, so it seems in Texas anyway, maybe not throughout the entire US, but here in my part of it, Spring has Sprung! Now? Only if I can find the time to get out in it, except the few moments it takes to go from class to class! Yes, my dear Den friends, that's where I've been. In class! I know, I know. You're probably thinkin', what in the world is she thinkin'? You know? My professors have that same gleam in their eye when they look at me too! It may just be the look of pity, while they're trying to figure out, why they were blessed with me? Somebody please tell me? Does algebra really matter? That stuff is kickin' my butt. We had Spring break and I missed it! I got lost trying to find square roots (which by the way was something I really did already know how to do), and finding what x-(3xy + 42), well that's not the true problem but you know what I mean. What I did figure out though is that I actually knew the answer a long long time before they wanted me to reveal it. Why is that? Back in the day...yeah..you got it! Wayyyy wayyyyy back in the day when I went to school...if you knew the answer the problem was solved! Not these days! These days, everything has to be complicated, and covers, at the least, two sheets of paper, or, it's not right! That's Crazy! Talkin' bout need'in to get back to the basics! I'm tellin' ya right now. No wonder Susie can't add and subtract! She's scared to death of Math class. Folks..I'm truly havin' nightmares over Math. This couldn't be good. I may be the only student in history that has long term PTSD, from trying to further my education. I've even fantasized about trying to bribe the Board of Education to letting me skip Math all together. I'll take two, even three Language Arts classes if they'll just drop the Math. How much more fair could that be? I don't have a problem with it! Three for one! Doesn't that sound fair to you? Well anyway...that's where I've been and that's why I've not been writing lately.. I actually just dropped in to wish each of you a Happy Spring and Easter!
