I saw "The Devil Wears Prada" yesterday and I gave it a big two thumbs down for lackluster plot and "copycat" title. I'm wondering if "The Devil Wears Prada" book author, Lauren Weisberger, Director, David Frankel and/or Producer Wendy Finerman are the real devils and stole the title from Roxanne Hoffman's "Poets Wear Prada." It's just too much of a coincidence. I saw the flick and wasn't that impressed and lacked so much credibility. It was however humorous but lacked originality. What attracted me to go was the title and the fact that Meryl Streep was the star. Not to say the other actor's weren't talented, the movie just lacked the quality plot that makes a good film. Perhaps they should donate some of their profits to "Poets Wear Prada" web site for taking the title?
Don't forget to visit "Poets Wear Prada" and read Roxanne Hoffman's great prose "This Poet Wears Prada." Or email me and I will forward it to you.
I'm looking forward to your feedback.
