About the author:  Marion Willingham McKenney was born in Dyersburg, TN on December 5.  At the age of five her family moved to Ottawa, IL.  The family then moved to Peoria, IL where Marion attended junior high through high school.

She worked at CILCO upon graduation from high school and then was hired at Caterpillar, Inc. where she worked in Service, Service Engineering, Legal,l Medical and Compensation departments.

Marion took a few courses at Illinois Central College, East Peoria, IL during her employment at CILCO and Caterpillar.

She finally decided to attend junior college on a part-time basis and graduated with an Associate in Liberal Arts.  One year later she was accepted at Bradley University, Peoria, IL and graduated with a BS in Elementary Education, minor in English.

Marion worked as a Teacher Assistant in the Peoria Public Schools for several years while attending college.

She taught elementary school (fifth and third grade) in North Carolina.  Currently she works as a Substitute Teacher.

Marion is married and has three children and two grandsons.

She started writing in 2005.  She says that her writing is inspired by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
