Sometimes We Try To Hard 8/12/2009 2:21:00 PM
Sometimes we try to hard. When I talk to a new client or someone that has never written a book before or had a screenplay produced I feel as if they really are saying to themselves, what does she knows, she’s trying to hard to make me believe this is difficult. How could this possible be? I’ll write a book and it will sell. I’ll write a screenplay and most likely it will get made because it is good. I wrote it, so why shouldn’t it be.
What they don’t know is, I live and breathe thinking about writing all day every day. I have written books that haven’t gotten published and I have written screenplays that haven’t been produced. So why do I write? I love writing. I love creating characters and I love the thought that someday I will be watching a movie that I have written, and it will be the greatest feeling ever.
So for now, stay with me and read what I have to say because I want you to wake up every day knowing that this might be the day you get that call. It might be an e- mail, a facebook message, a tweet or something new. But all I can tell you, no matter how I find out I will sleep good that night …very good.
