Since joining Facebook 3 days ago, I've already had my email overrun with people wanting to be my friend. Most of these people are friends from high school. While some of these people are dear old friends, some of the names I don't recognize at all and others are people I haven't talked to in over 20 years. The whole reason I've held off on joining was because I don't have the time to give to it, and I can already tell that it is going to overwhelm me. How do I winnow through all the friend requests politely, and manage to turn this page into something less like a high school reunion and make it a marketing tool for my writing? I've read many articles and been told many times that I should do this, but I don't get how it works. Any helpful ideas would be appreciated.
