He is the reason for the season. All the bells and choruses and giving of gifts and Christmas trees and good wishes are all because of Him. I never cease to marvel at the great show of joy and the re-reading of the accounts of the birth of Christ within the churches and the symbols of his arrival on earth in the manger scenes and the depictions of the angelic visitors who honored his birth. He came to introduce a new kingdom upon earth that would begin in the hearts of those who believe. The angel spoke of good news to all men everywhere. And once again all over the world the remembrance of the coming of Christ and the hope of "peace on earth and goodwill toward men" is magnified through the celebration of the Christmas season.
