So our children with ADHD are so intuitive, even when the school personnel are not.  My son, 14, with ADHD, can shut down when bored.  This happens to many with ADHD.  He has figured out that in class, when he switches his lap top to  information that he likes like planes, weather, and the stock market, he feels like it gives him strength to re-focus on class work!  Thats amazing...just heard a talk about ADHD and how these kids really need to re-fuel their engines..ways to do this:  snack, a break, a positive word, even 3 minutes away...And here Jon is, figuring it out!!!  and what happens?  he is discovered and is kicked out of class....
