I never thought that in my chronological 'older' years ( you are only as old as you feel) I would write and publish poetry books, write a 'past life' novel, or learn how to format a book for a Kindle! The advantages of being retired but with a very active mind, is that, despite present physical limitations and a long, painful illness I have the time, without the limitations of scheduled work, to explore new ideas and technology. I say explore but,in the process of finding new territory, I wander through much confusion and endless tunnels leading nowhere.I backtrack, change focus, have a night's sleep and carry on!
But, I am winning!The light is appearing. I have almost got my small book 'The Girl who had everything - and more' ready as an ebook, and for submitting to Kindle Store. This is a compliation of a story and a few poems for children aged 6-10 years ( or thereabouts). This particular book is more likely to appeal to girls, but the lessons apply to all.
Once I have perfected this - then during the next few months my time will be occupied doing the same for the more complex, longer books.
Wish me luck. One of my endeavours, after a long psychiatric career, is, by my writing, to promote positive values in the emotional development of all our children. They are the hope for the future world.
