Books on sale in the GONA Matisse book shop 1/10/2012 3:37:16 AM
My recent visit to the Matisse exhibition at GOMA has inspired me. Until I visited the exhibition of Matisse drawings at GOMA I didn't know that he had illustrated poetry books. So we have somthing in common!
The difference is that I didn't illustrate Mocco Wollert's poems for our 2 books "Of Loving and Sensualities" and "Love Falls in Love with Love" with 40images and 40 poems. I had dozens of photos of my drawings and paintings that I had done over a number of years all work done with live models and Mocco -a 5 times previously published author -had volumes of poetry about love,sensuality and loving. So we 'married 'the poems and images which reflected the same emotion and produced our 2 quality books.
Mocco and I have come from different backgrounds -Mocco born in Germany and older than me by 10years and my home has always been in Brisbane, Australia. But we are both married to loving husbands -Mooco for 54years and moi 42yrs. We both have children and grandchildren and have experienced and lived life with love in many. So our collaboration has been very successful.
Now our 2 quality books are selling well in the QAG and GOMA book shops plus many other galleries/books shops and gift stores.
