What is your take on lit festivals? 4/15/2012 7:29:49 AM
JUst back from the New West lit fest. Despite all the advertising they did the readers did not show up. I went to my first lit fest in New Westminster. There were lots of others selling every kind of genre. I enjoyed meeting them and hearing of their experiences. None of us, however, sold any books.
We handed out book marks to passers-by. They weren't there for the lit fest but hopefully a few will go to the link and buy a copy.
What is your take on lit festivals? How do you draw in the readers and not just the writers?
