Be Wise Ye Kings, Be Instructed Ye Judges of the Earth. Psalm 2:10
It is difficult not to be reminded of the power of some men over the lives of multitudes of other men. The above mentioned scripture, and there are many like them in the Bible that speak directly to "rulers","kings",and "judges", are to remind them that their handling of the affairs of their governments has God's attention. Their responsibility is great in the sight of God, because their decisions have such great impacts upon the people who are dependent upon those decisions for their current and future well-being. What Congress does or does not do has great consequences for the average American. The decisions rendered by the Supreme court judges has undeniable repercussions throughout the nation. Would to God the leaders would heed the above scripture and indeed be wise and be instructed, that what they do affects many for good or for ill, and that they are accountable to the people and also to God himself. If they could just forget the "Party" and remember the "People."
