There is a time thief on the loose! 2/25/2013 1:44:19 PM
Didn't we just put up the Christmas tree last week? It seems that time is going faster than I am. I thought I had lost some time but instead, I think it has been stolen. I remember as a child, it seemed that summer would never end and I would be anxious to purchase school supplies. I loved the new pencils and erasers. But then the reality of school starting would sink in and time seem to drag on forever for Christmas to come. It was so hard to wait for Christmas day. The next hurdle would be for school to let out for the summer and I remember it taking a lifetime to happen.
Now that I'm older I realize I am missing a few things. I have a few years that are not accounted for and I don't know when they were stolen. This time thief is good at his job. He not only has made time seem to disappear but also is speeding up the process. I am hanging on tighter to things so I don't disappear too.
Time thief is also changing things too. Somehow the new hat I bought before Christmas (which I know was just last week) doesn't fit anymore. I can't figure it out! My head didn't get fatter, in fact I have less hair because I gave myself a haircut so there is less hair. I did one of those, "this side is shorter than the other so I had to keep evening it out". So I am very glad to have my little hat to wear till my hair grows back out.
After taking a second look, I realize the time thief had messed with my hair. The gray hair that is coming in is the problem. It's stiff! It won't lay down! Also it is wanting to go it's own way and I think it's trying to push my little hat off so it can stick out and wave at people. I see other people's hair blow in the wind and then lay back down when you go inside a store. Mine blows in the wind and then stands strait up and screams "STIFF GRAY HAIR RULES"! I blame time for this. If it had kept its slow pace and never got faster, it would be just like the old days and we would be much happier. It would never have been stolen by the sneaky thief. Time let this all happen and wasn't careful enough. Because of this, we have become victims of the most serious crime of Time warp. Symptons include, not getting things done, missing important events, gray hair syndrome, and so much more.
