How did they obtain the AGO Power? // ¿Cómo obtuvieron el poder AHV? // Should they destroy the spying missile? // ¿Deben destruir el misil espía? This is a review of the Sixth Chapter of “First Light / The Second Expedition” in the “Yah and the Space Cadets” series. Yah and the Space Cadets / First Light / The Second Expedition
Comment: Derfal is the main city on planet Resijus. The cadets obtain two most unusual powers, one of which is the ‘AGO power.’ Both are explained in the book.
Summary of Chapter 6 – Resijus
Gab informs Yah that planet Resijus is friendly, no need to post sentries. The girls of Resijus are not only very pretty, they are also very special. The expedition runs into an old woman named Dawn who claims to be over a thousand years old. She and a group of elderly women cross a canyon using a cable. The cadets follow them doing the same instead of using their wings due to the strong wind. Upon arriving, they are greeted by a group of charming, beautiful girls who happen to be the elderly women they had just seen. The cadets obtain the AGO power and are taught some ways of using it. How did they obtain it? Mona asks if there are any boys on planet Resijus and, of course, there are. On their return trip to the Audacious, the group encounters Special Forces from the Herptilian Civilization. This force fires a tagalong to spy on the cadets. Should they destroy this spying missile?
Excerpt: The rest of the day was spent learning a new power. The power of producing pustules, abscesses, eruptions and other ugly-looking rashes on the skin to deceive the enemy into thinking that a person so transformed had some kind of contagious disease and should be avoided.
This was accomplished by concentrating and then saying or thinking, “Give me an ugly skin-disease.” Immediately afterwards, the skin would erupt into some combination of granules, pustules, bright-purpled pimples with greenish-yellowish centers, and even something similar to leprosy. To return to normal, the cadets had to use a similar phrase to the one they had just learned for the other power, this one was, ‘Return me to normal.’
After practicing this new power, the expeditionary force was invited to enjoy a sumptuous dinner and a party. The girls and boys of Resijus were definitely a lot of fun and were very good looking. The cadets certainly enjoyed their stay.

Comentario: Derfal es la ciudad principal del planeta Resijus. Los cadetes obtienen dos poderes sumamente inusuales, uno de ellos es el ‘poder AHV’. Ambos se explican en el libro.
Resumen del Capítulo 6 – Resijus
Gab le informa a Yah que el planeta Resijus es amistoso, no hay necesidad de apostar guardias. Las muchachas de Resijus no nada más son bonitas, también son muy especiales. La expedición se topa con una viejita llamada Alba que dice tener más de mil años. Ella y un grupo de ancianas cruzan un cañón mediante un cable. Los cadetes las siguen de la misma manera, en lugar de usar las alas debido a un fuerte viento. Al llegar, los recibe un grupo de chicas encantadoras y bellas que resultan ser las viejitas que acababan de ver. Los cadetes obtienen el poder AHV y se les enseña algunas formas de usarlo. ¿Cómo lo obtuvieron? Mona pregunta si hay chicos en el planeta Resijus y, desde luego, que sí los hay. En su viaje de retorno hacia la Audaz, el grupo se topa con Fuerzas Especiales de la Civilización Herptiliana. Esta fuerza les disparó un husmeador con el fin de espiar a los cadetes. ¿Deben destruir el misil espía?
Extracto: El resto del día lo pasaron aprendiendo un nuevo poder. El poder de producir pústulas, abscesos, erupciones y otros salpullidos de aspecto grotesco en la piel para engañar al enemigo y hacerle creer que una persona así padecía una enfermedad contagiosa, por lo que todo contacto con ella debía evitarse.
Esto se lograba concentrándose y diciendo o pensando: «Dame una enfermedad cutánea horripilante». Inmediatamente después, les brotaba por la piel una combinación de granos, pústulas, barros morados brillantes con centros verdosos amarillentos, y hasta algo parecido a la lepra. Para volver a la normalidad, los cadetes tenían que usar una frase similar a la que acababan de aprender: «Regrésame a lo normal».
Después de practicar este nuevo poder, la fuerza expedicionaria fue invitada a disfrutar de un suntuoso banquete y de una fiesta. Las chicas y los muchachos de Resijus definitivamente eran muy divertidos y sumamente atractivos. Los cadetes realmente disfrutaron su estadía.
